Description
1.2 Explain how to summarise the following project data: Required quantities, specifications, detailed drawings, health and safety requirements, Timescales and scope of works
Required quantities or bill of quantities is a thorough detailed list of all of the resources including materials, labour and parts that will be necessary in order that a project can be carried out , this is used by quantity surveyors in the tender process to allow them to formulate a detailed list in order that a price to carry out the work can be decided upon , certain factors such as tolerances are built in to the bill of quantities to allow for price increases in labour or material costs and inflation etc ,this is especially important if the project is very big and over a long duration.
